”Beechwood was not just any school, it was a place that filled my heart with joy and warmth. It was like a second home to me, where I found a supportive and caring community. Thanks to Beechwood, I have grown into the loving and nurturing parent that I am today. I knew in my heart that I wanted my precious daughter to have the same incredible experience, to feel the happiness and belonging that comes with being a part of the Beechwood family. I wanted her to understand that Beechwood is more than just a school, it is a magical place where lifelong friendships are forged, and where the bond between students and teachers is truly special.“
Corey McGee, Class of 2003
I remember Beechwood as a safe, fun, yet challenging, learning environment. It was my home away from home. I entered as a quiet, shy kindergartner and left ready and eager to begin my life's journey . It really wasn't until I reached high school and beyond that I was able to truly see the value(s) Beechwood had instilled. The early building blocks and foundation set while at Beechwood really prepared me for the rigors of high school, and ultimately college.
Once I became a parent, it was a no brainer as to where I would send my kids to school. I wanted my kids to experience the close, tight knit community, that is Beechwood. The love and effort displayed by staff and fellow families reaches far beyond the classroom. These are all, so very important towards developing kind, thoughtful, patient, diligent, human beings.
Coming out of the pandemic, I felt a strong need to become more involved in all aspects of family life. It was just a really hard, strange, difficult time for everyone. There was so much going on in the world and none of it made sense. I remember writing a letter to the board regarding school/campus safety in the wake of the Uvalde school shooting. This started me on the path of thinking, what more can I do to effect change and how can I help become a part of the solution?Brandon Drayton, Parent Board Rep, Class of 1998
